My 12-session tele-workshop "Life Beyond Limits" will start next week on Wednesday at 8 p.m Middle European Time or 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
I would like to thank all people who have already signed up for the workshops! However, since the number of participants is unlimited, you still have the opportunity to participate.
If you sign up for all 12 sessions, then you will get the full benefit of the workshop, since it is designed as a sequence of lessons with a specific order. For those who can’t make it to all of the sessions, it is possible to sign up for as many of them as you like.
The workshops will be conducted in English. There will be call-in numbers available for Germany and for the US. The calls themselves will be to a landline in the appropriate country, so the rate is just the one that you pay for a call to a landline within your country. If you have a flat rate for landlines, then it is free for you.
This is what the first tele-workshop is about:
Workshop 1: Create a Great Life
· Why is it important to create a great life?
· How to discover, affirm and accomplish your dreams.
Teleclass Date: September 23, 2009, at 8 p.m. Middle European Time or 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

Obstacles in the Writing Process
My comment to Fiona McIntosh’s blog entry about obstacles in the writing process at Voyager Online:
Hi Fiona! Thank you so much for your deep insights into the writing process. I am currently writing a non-fiction book about moving beyond limits, creating a great life and speaking out. Your blog post “The Obstacle Course of Writing” has given me hope that I will finish my own book within a time frame.
So far, I have changed my chapter titles and my content very often so that I have not been able to finish it until today. I agree with you about the importance of pushing the book forward, and about setting a deadline for finishing it. It won’t get any better anyway, will it?
A writer’s blog exists when you believe that you need to write perfectly, and when you think that your first draft has to be so excellent that it doesn’t need to be improved anymore. However, if you just sit down and write what comes to your mind about the topic, then your block will disappear sooner than you can believe!
Thank you again for your personal thoughts and experiences about the writing process; I am sure it has helped me to move forward with my own book.
Andrea
This is a short list of suggestions as to how you can get your book finished sooner than expected:
- Set a realistic deadline and stick to it.
- Move the book forward every time you write; don’t spend time on revising what you have already written.
- Write each day for at least 30 minutes or however much time you might be able to dedicate to writing. If it’s more than that, then it’s even better!
- Do not read comments or reviews on work that you have already published.
- Don’t be afraid of rejection. The reasons why you might be rejected vary a great deal and most of them are not of a personal nature.
- Keep on writing, improve your quality and submit your manuscripts over and over.

My Message - Moving Beyond Limits
Today the time has come to talk about my core message to the world. My vision of a better and happier world can only be manifested by improving each single person’s life. What keeps us from living the best and happiest life we could think of? There are very different reasons for each person, however they all have one thing in common – they all represent some kind of limitation. Be it that we think that we cannot do something because we are not talented enough, or we believe that we are too old to start a new interest, or we assume that we need a certain qualification.
Who do we think we are?
This question can be understood in two different ways. One way would be to shout “WHO do we think we are?” This would let us know immediately that the questioner doesn’t want to know who we are and instead just tells us that we are not appreciated. The other way would be to really ask ourselves “Who are we?” The true answer is probably that we are a good human being who cares about other people and who has the desire to change the world to make it a better place.
We are not too old – age doesn’t matter – our souls are wise no matter how young or old we are.
We are talented – talent doesn’t count as much as we assume anyway – perseverance is the key to success.
We do not need certain qualifications to do what we love – does Bill Gates have a university degree? – we are qualified by our interest in a certain subject matter.
In fact, we are much more powerful than anybody would ever assume. We just need to release our power! So if you believe that you got stuck while trying to attain a certain goal, just think about what you could do about it NOW. The present counts. The past is over. The future hasn’t yet begun. What step could us bring closer to our goal? Just do it. Now. Not later. Immediately. Not as soon as possible. JUST NOW.
It is that easy. Then please leave a comment and tell me how it felt.
