Creating More Time Than Ever

Do you have the impression that you don't have enough time?

If your answer to this question is "yes," then you are not alone. I have suffered from the "not enough time" disease since I was a child. This is why I know exactly how it is and what it feels like.

Nonetheless, let's have a closer look at this feeling in people who do not have a bad disease and know that they don't have to live much longer. Let's limit our consideration to those who have an average or even high life expectancy. Why should someone like this believe that she or he doesn't have enough time?

The question is "For what reason or task do you need more time?"

There are people who are interested in almost everything. They have so many interests that they can't move in all the directions they'd like to. What is possible for them? Just like everybody else, they can do just one thing in each moment of their life, however, they could change their direction from time to time or choose to concentrate on their most important interests.

But what about those people who have just a few interests, or who have already made a choice for now? What if they still seem to not have sufficient time in their lives? Again we have to ask what is possible. For them as for anybody else it is possible to have a life full of activities that they love. If they lead their lives according to what they love doing, they enjoy their lives and will be able to look back with contentment when they have to leave the earth.

So what about those people who still don't have enough time?

The answer is very simple - they don't do what they love most of their time. They don't do what counts. Instead, they waste their energy on tasks that are not important to them.

How could they create more time and energy then?

Basically, these people should rethink their priorities. Are they leading a life that they love? Do they dedicate most of their time to what really counts to them? Do they have time for the people they love? I know personally how hard it is to make the shift and to create more time with meaning in your life. However, if you don't do it, who else will do it for you? If you suffer from the "not enough time disease," then rethink your values and priorities and organize your life according to them.

Nobody survives forever on this earth. However, we can create our best possible lives. It is easy to look back on a fulfilled life. Nonetheless, it would break our heart to see that we have wasted the precious time that we had.

ALWAYS KEEP THE END IN MIND.

There are certain things that you can do if you want to extend your precious lifetime, or if you would like to live your life more intensely:

· Practice awareness and attention, because then one second can be very long for you. Being able to recognize shorter time intervals will give you power over your own time.
· Take care of your health, and you will increase your lifetime. Prevention is better than getting sick.
· How to deal with tasks you don't love doing: Hire someone, barter, or limit the time that you spend on it.
· How to deal with little time stealers which suddenly show up: Deal with them immediately, delegate time stealers to someone else, or make an appointment with yourself to deal with them. Again limit the time that you will spend on them. Don't let piles of undone work eat up your energy.
